Discovering Chinese String Instruments

 

Chinese musical instruments can trace its history to several thousand years ago. Each of them produces a different and unique sound and effect. These musical instruments not only entertain people but also play an important part in traditional Chinese culture. Among the many traditional musical instruments of China, the most popular nowadays include the stringed instruments called the zhongruan, guzheng, pipa, and erhu. These Chinese string instrument are collectively referred to as Sihuang.

The Process

 

Select, analyze, and shoot a group of 3-dimensional objects, and explore layout, hierarchy and relationships between image and text in poster design. Each of these four Chinese string instruments has a long developed history. They represent Chinese traditional culture and reflect the revolution of Chinese society from ancient Tang Dynasty to nowadays.
