Origami Book
Origami (折り紙, "ori" = "folding", "kami" = "paper" , kami changes to gami due to rendaku) is the art of paper folding, which is often associated with Japanese culture and developed all over the world now.
The Process
Origami presents the flexibility of paper and also give inspirations for artist and designers. But now the most of origami books are dated and focused on the instructions for children. It is rare to find a book that talks about the development and modern application of origami. 6" x 6" inch square book is a perfect format for a Origami book.
The Solution
A perfect bound book made up of 82 pages with four sections: the history of origami, the origami masters, the influence of origami, and a few basic origami model instructions. The last instructions section was designed as an opening inner pages. And audience can practise origami following the instructions and choose colorful papers in the back cover folder. The book cover and contents page also designed in Origami style.
